Course Objective |
The course aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the scientific field known as Organization Theory. It covers the emergence, importance, foundations, focus, and levels of analysis of this field, which originated in the 1950s. The course also analyzes the chronological and paradigmatic development of organization theories. In order to achieve this, the course will delve into various approaches, such as functionalist, structural-functionalist, economic organization theories, open-system natural organization models, and interpretive, critical, and postmodern approaches. |

Topics will be examined and discussed at the theoretical level. As teaching methods such as oral expression, visual aids, discussion, question and answer, case study analysis and scientific article assessment and criticism will be used. |

Assessment Criteria |
Students will be assessed based on their participation in class discussions and their performance on midterm and final exams. Additionally, students must evaluate a current article on organizational theories as part of their midterm work. |
