Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide detailed information about tour planning and tour guiding activities.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Identify the main activities that should be done pre-tour, during tour, pre-departure and departure and follow through.
2   Outline the basic issues of contracts between transportation, lodging establishment and point out the important clauses.
3   Outline main types of problems that can be faced during the tour with other travel partners.
4   Explain the different price components of a tour package and how a holiday cost is calculated.
5   Describe the procedures that should be done during an emergency.
