Course Objective

This course aims to introduce main principles and issues of law of nationality and law of foreigners.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   demonstrate understanding of the relevant Codes in order to examine the selected legal topics of nationality and foreigners.
2   be able to follow the current changes in the field in order to examine the selected topics.
3   be able to use the relevant Codes in order to solve legal problems.
4   be able to acquire the communication skills to explain legal issues.

6 Introduction to law of foreigners, general principles relating to foreigners
7 General review
8 The terms of migrant, refugee, asylum seeker, stateless
9 The rights of entry; residence and travel of foreigners in Türkiye
10 Expulsion of foreigners
11 Foreigners' right to work in Türkiye
12 Acquisition of immovable property by foreigners in Türkiye
13 Foreign investments in Türkiye
14 General review
