Course Objective

This course aims to introduce the main structure of international trade and international investment law. The course especially focuses on the relationship between states and individuals who are investors. The Course aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the legal framework of trade and investment law.

Assessment Criteria

1. Will understand the functioning of the World Trade Organization.
2. Will understand the main principles of WTO and also the relationship between trade and investment.
3. Will understand the legal framework of international investment law.
4. Will be able to identify possible disputes in international investments and be able to discuss the role of international agreements to prevent these disputes.

1. It is obligatory to attend at least 70% of the classes.
