Course Objective |
This course is an introduction to maritime trade and transportation, and is a course aimed at understanding and learning the knowledge and skills required for the efficient and effective shipping of goods by sea in world trade. The course aims to provide the necessary introductory framework on the basic concepts, terms, actors and structure of maritime trade. This course emphasizes the practical understanding of the global shipping industry from technical, operational, commercial and corporate perspectives. |

Assessment Criteria |
The University Regulations will be followed. There will be one midterm exam, one homework, one term paper and one final exam covering the lectures, practices and reading materials, homework and term paper. Midterm and final exams will include questions that encourages the critical thinking and understanding in the shipping discipline. Term paper will be presented at the end of the term. |
