Course Objective

The student learns about the emergence of tafsir and its stages throughout the history.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student acquires knowledge about theological issues discussed from the earliest times to the present day within the framework of exegetical texts.
2   The student knows that what are the sources of quranic tafsirs.
3   The student knows various tafsirs and commentators.
4   By reading classical tafsir texts, the student gains knowledge about their methods and contents.
5   By reading modern tafsir texts, the student gains knowledge about their methods and contents.
