Course Objective

To create intellectual knowledge on these issues by introducing students to the modern researches on the Torah and Bibles for hundreds of years in the scientific world, the theories and methods developed for use in these researches

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learns the discussions held in antiquity about the biblical texts.
2   Understands the opinions and criticisms put forward by the clergy about the biblical texts.
3   Knows the paradigms that have changed in the scientific world in the modern period about the biblical texts.
4   Understands the historical research methods and methods revealed at the point of researching and interpreting the biblical texts, the judgments revealed together with the research conducted.
5   Compares different opinions about the biblical texts in antiquity and in the modern period..
