Course Objective

To study on legal verses of the Qur'an which is the main source of Islamic Law; to examine both classical and modern interpretations of related verses; to generate some contemporary legal comments of these verses by considering all these historical developments and experiences.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   They have knowledge about legal verses, their number and nature, connection with each other, and legal commentaries.
2   They understand the place of the Qur an in Islamic Law and how the legal interpretation was derived from it.
3   They learn how to analyze the legal judgment of the Qur'anic verses
4   When they encounter a legal problem, they have the capacity to know whether it has a connection to the legal verses.
5   They understand the legal perspective of the Qur'an
