Course Objective

To introduce the classical texts in the methodology of Islamıc law; to give information about how this texts approach issues of methodology of Islamic law and to read "Mirkad" text as a classical Islamic fiqh book.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To recognize the classical texts in the methodology of Islamic law
2   To understand the basic concepts and knowledge of methodology of Islamic law
3   To recognize the sources of rule in the methodology of Islamic law
4   To explain the methods of deriving rules of fiqh from sources of Islamic law
5   To interpret the usul al-fiqh according to today s condition taking an example its general systematic and functioning
