Course Objective

To analytically learn geographical, political, economic, social, and cultural conditions of the contemporary Muslim countries, and in doing so, to determine their problems in the context of historical process and/or the conditions that modern world offers.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Will apprehend the notion Islamic Country/State and the discussion within the context of this notion; and thus, will be able to categorize the states as Islamic in the light of this definition.
2   Will acquire common knowledge on the background of the countries accepted Islamic in current world.
3   Will know these countries' geographic, politic, economic, social, and cultural status.
4   Will be able to understand the effects of History on contemporary events by comparing past experiences of these countries with their current situation.
5   Will gain ability to make comments and produce ideas on the solution to the political, social, economic, religious, and cultural problems of current Islamic world and their people.
