Course Objective

The United Nations system, which serves the purpose of universal recognition and protection of human rights, is also important for the effectiveness of human rights. Within the scope of the course, it is aimed that the students have knowledge about the human rights conventions and control mechanisms in the United Nations system.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understanding the concept of human rights and its historical process
2   Learning about international protection of human rights
3   Recognition of the United Nations System in the protection of human rights at the international level
4   Learning about the Conventions issued by the United Nations for the protection of human rights
5   Learning the protection mechanisms under the United Nations Conventions for the protection of human rights
