Course Objective

To give detailed knowledge about the political ideologies which occur after Industrial Revolution by the academic meaning of the concept of ideology. Within this aim every single ideology's theory, main theme and main philosopher will be discussed and explanations about the social reality which was offered by the relevant ideology. After that law systems which was offered by every single ideology and reflections of the main themes of every single ideology will be examined. For instance ideology of liberalism will be examined about it's theorical base, historical development, liberal philosophers. Then the reflection of the liberalism in to reality will be discussed within the main elements of the law system which gives legitimacys to that political system.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To examine the academic meaning of the concept of ideology
2   To understand the social and economic factors which affect the occurence of Industrial Revolution.
3   To examine theoretical structure of liberalism and theoretical reflections to the law system of this ideology.
4   To examine the theoretical structure of marxism and criticism about liberalism. To have knowledge about main elements of marxist law system.
5   To examine theoretical development of social democracy and it's differences from marxism and liberalism. To have basic knowledge on state's positive and negative obligations whitin the social democratic law system.
6   To have basic knowledge about ideology of fascism. To have knowledge about main structure of fascist state and fascist law system.
7   To have academic knowledge about anarchism. To examine state and law system of anarchism.
8   To have basic knowledge about conservatism, feminism, syndicalism, etc.
