Course Objective

Features are revealed and the dangers to shipping, the shipping since ancient times, and the general nature of the rule of law in accordance with a separate private law has a role in the emergence of bases. In this regard, the maritime law enforcement in the sea transport of all kinds, travel and navigation layout as a set of legal rules governing the terms of the relations of private law emerges. This course is taught in the last year of Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Law students with the basic source of maritime law, tried to teach concepts and institutions. In this context, maritime law, litigation and legal issues that arise in solving the student is given a road map. Indeed, the source of a legal branch, concepts and institutions to understand the dynamic changes in the branch of law against a lawyer, he has to react at any moment and feel secure in the disputes brought before it. On the other hand, in close contact with other branches of law maritime law student learns information for law education is a great opportunity to re-form once again. People law maritime law, property law, commercial law, law enforcement, trade, and even close relationship with public law, the notion of the student's law allows for the test of fourth grade once again.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to provide information on the learning of concepts and terms in Maritime Law.
2   Be able to Identify and determine the scope of the principles of Maritime Law.
3   Be able toIllustrate this concept, the criteria used in determining the concept of the ship put out.
4   Be able to analyze scientific texts which have been written in the field of Maritime Law, follow and evaluate given the judicial decisions and legislation.
5   Be able to identfy problems that could genarate in real life.
6   Be able to solve the problems in real life about the course.
7   Be able to produce solutions in the field of Maritime Law, the views, critique other views, make this area will contribute to the debate.
8   Be able to improve critical thinking skill about Maritime Law.
