Course Objective

The aim of this course is teaching general principler of EU law.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to Explain the historical development of the European Union. 2   Being able explain the legal nature of the European Union. 3   Being able to explain EU institutional structure and its system of law and being able to solve problems that arise in this contexte. 4   Being able to explain the basies material law of the EU. 5   Being able to explain the legal aspects of Türkiye-EU relations.

Week Subject Description 1 General informations about the content and purpose of the course; giving information about the method and plan of the course; recommendation of materials relating to the course. 2 The historical development of the European Union. 3 The legal nature, values, goals and tasks of the European Union. 4 The relations between the EU and member states. 5 Principles prevailing the institutional structure of the European Union. 6 Bodies of the European Union. 7 Other institutions and bodies of the European Union. 8 General principles of the legal order of the European Union. 9 Sources of the European Union Law, the decision-making (legislative) procedures of the European Union and the execution of European Union Law. 10 European Union internal market Law. 11 Free movement in the European Union. 12 Common policy areas and competition order of the EU. 13 Türkiye-EU relations. 14 EU Business Corporations-EU Competition Law- EU Intellectual Property La- General Data Protection 15 Midterm
