Course Objective

The course aims to introduce the archaeological landscape of Izmir and its surroundings, as well as to convey the history of archaeological excavations, surface surveys and studies carried out in Izmir.

1   To be able to understand the historical process of Izmir and its surroundings.
2   Recognizing the immovable cultural assets in Izmir and its surroundings.
3   To have information about the excavations, surface surveys and studies carried out in Izmir.
