Course Objective

Directing the student to library research on the subject of the course. To explain the development and styles of sculpture in the Late Classical Period (4th century BC). To learn the analysis of sculpture works in terms of style and workmanship and to use them in dating methods. To focus on Anatolian examples.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to recognize the type of material, tool use, casting techniques of sculpture works
2   To be able to define the subjects, clothes and bases of sculpture works.
3   To be able to apply scientific research methods related to the subject of sculpture.
4   To be able to recognize the famous artists and works of the Classical Period.
5   To be able to interpret the effects of Classical Period art on modern painting and sculpture.
