Course Objective

This course aims to introduce and teach how logic and mathematics work in linguistics and language studies. The course also aims to provide linguistics students with analytical thinking and analysis skills.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. Distinguish between valid and invalid arguments.
2   2. Know the basic principles of propositional logic.
3   3. Know the basic principles of predicate logic.
4   4. Make linguistic analysis using the language of logic.
5   5. Make analytical analyses of language data.
