Course Objective

The aim of the course is to explain students the static and dynamic behavior of clean and adsorbate-covered solid surfaces and interfaces, from both theoretical and experimental points of view.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of this course the students are expected to : have knowledge about atomic structure of surfaces.
2   Be able to describe what kind of interactions may occur on the surface of adsorbent.
3   Have a prediction on determination of kinetics of adsorption process.
4   Have a prediction on determination of kinetics of adsorption process.
5   Be able to offer a method to determine the surface tension.
