Course Objective

The course aim is to explain students importance of polymers, synthesis, properties and application areas of polymers.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understand what polymers are made up of, their properties, and basic polymer nomenclature.
2   Be able to select suitable polymeric material for a daily use product.
3   Have knowledge on copolymerization process
4   Identify the different polymerisation techniques.
5   Appreciate how polymers are processed for specific uses.
