Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide the students basic concepts on thermodynamics and specific physicochemical topics such as properties of mixtures, gases, solutions, phase equilibria, and reaction equilibrium

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Know basic concepts of thermodynamics.
2   Be able to interpret the phase diagrams and be able to describe the thermodyanamic properties of mixtures.
3   Be able to describe the thermodyanamic properties of mixtures.
4   Be able to show how chemical potential is used to account for the equilibrium composition of chemical reactions and know the difference between real gases and ideal gases

Student will be assessed with questions which will be asked in final exam and midterm. The announcement of midterm and final exams will be done by the Department of Chemistry and also made in the courses.
