Course Objective

The course examines the theoretical framework of mechanics, including the rudiments of Lagrangian and Hamiltonian mechanics.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Have an advanced understanding of classical mechanics.
2   Solve basic problems in rotational kinematics and dynamics, including calculation of moments of inertia and the application of conservation of angular momentum.
3   Solve problems using Newton's universal law of gravity, to include deriving Kepler's laws of planetary motion.
4   Use the Lagrangian and Hamiltonian formulations to solve problems in classical mechanics .
5   Being able to conduct result related to determinated problem.
