Course Objective

In the course of Western Civilization each period from the creation of human beings up to the contemporary
days is analyzed and compared with each others to find the answer of how Western Europe became superior.
In the spring semester the period from the French Revolution up to contemporary Age will be analyzed.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to distinguish the historical periods in different periods.
2   To understand differences at the different periods of history.
3   Beginning with Sumer, to see the corner stones at the whole historical process.
4   To understand culture of each period in the history which had a different culture
5   To understand how each civilizations effected the culture and literature
