Course Objective

Printmaking education program s aim is to develop the power, creativity and intuition which is creativity s basic, interpreting objects and their relations with each other and necessary culture for understanding the nature and logic of art by a strict observation. Raising modern, contemporary, creative, positive and pioneer graduates. Its aim is also helping the production of unique artworks, universalize printmaking as a new area of interest in the country.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knowing the history of printmaking, contemporary printmaking, samples, printing techniques and tools
2   Knowing monotype printing, its samples.
3   Making photocopy printing.
4   Knowing mono printing with formica, zinc, plexiglass, glass by erasing, its samples and print.
5   Printing mixed mono (on glass, by erasing from mold and photocopy transfer). Printing mono with gas, thinner and water. Completing.
6   Knowing linocut as a relief technique, working system and samples.
7   Sketching.
8   Cutting lino. Proofering.
