Course Objective

Developing students' reading proficiency through a variety of reading techniques and strategies. The development of reading, understanding and analysing of short texts from German literature and literary analyses.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student is able to learn the types of literary texts and reading techniques
2   The student is able to improve his/her reading capability and vocabulary
3   The student is able to determine the types of literary texts by defining its physical, content-related and linguistic features.
4   . The student is able to implement the basic techniques in order to attain comprehension in literary text analysis and to address questions to analyse the text.
5   The student is able to summarize literary texts
6   The student is able to state the socio-cultural differences by comparing it with literary texts.
