Course Objective

This course aims to teach fundamental concepts related to functional groups and aromatic compounds, to investigate reactions and synthesis about thsese compounds

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   After completing this course, the students will be able to Explain conditions for a compound to be aromatic
2   Distinguish chemical reactions of aldehydes and ketones.
3   Suggest synthesis for aldehydes and ketones.
4   Distinguish the chemical reactions of carboxylic acids and their derivatives.
5   Suggest synthesis for carboxylic acids and their derivatives.
