Course Objective

To understand the basic characteristics of cell structure and morphology, as well as animal tissues (epithelial tissue, connective and supporting tissue, blood and lymphatic tissue, cartilage and bone tissue, muscle and nervous tissue), and to provide fundamental knowledge on cell and tissue physiology and histological techniques, enabling the differentiation between normal and pathological tissue structures.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Ability to describe the microscopic structure and morphological characteristics of cells and tissues.
2   Ability to distinguish the structure and function of different tissue types such as epithelial, connective and supporting, blood, lymphatic, cartilage, bone, muscle, and nervous tissues.
3   To be able to learn the kinds of woven fabric and the works they do.
4   To be able to learn the places where they are and their relations with other tissues
5   Acquiring theoretical knowledge about the preparation of tissue sections, staining techniques, and examination under the microscope
