Course Objective

The aims of this block are to learn muscles and peripheral nerves of the body, mechanisms of the muscle contraction, synaptic transmission, molecular mechanisms of fertilization and implantation, human embryonic development.

3   To understand mechanisms of the muscle contraction and excitation-contracion coupling
4   To understand nervous tissue
5   To describe peripheral nerves and vessels of the body
6   To describe neurotransmitters and receptors and to understand synaptic transmission
7   To understand molecular mechanisms of fertilization and implantation
8   To describe human embryonic development
9   To apply basic life support to an adult patient
10   To measure blood pressure from the upper extremity
11   To take patient history, basics of physical examination and recording

Competence is taken for Introduction to the Clinic, Professional Skills, Field Studies, Professional Values and Ethical Practices.

Theoretical exam (80%) + Practical exam (20%)

Assessment Criteria

In the first 3 years, the student success was evaluated on a yearly basis as an annual grade out of 100 points. The passing point of the period is determined as 60 (sixty).

The Intra-Year Success Grade Point Average (YBN) must be at least 50 (fifty) points.
