Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide students with a holistic perspective which prioritizes awareness and humanistic approach about the relationship between human-oriented fields such as literature, sociology, psychology, philosophy, history, art and anthropology. It is aimed that the students gain an interdisciplinary perspective through activities aimed at acquiring knowledge in designated fields.

1   To be able to express the relationship of medical humanities with medicine
2   To be able to recognize different perspectives of medical humanities to medicine.
3   To develop a holistic perspective that prioritizes humanistic approach in medicine
4   Adopting the importance of medical humanities in medicine.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

Participation in 70% of the activities is mandatory. The student also prepares a report that meets the required criteria regarding the activities. The student whose report is evaluated as unsuccessful prepares a new report. The evaluation is made out of 100 points. The contribution of ÖÇM to the class passing score is 5%.

Participating in the expected rate of training activities and preparing a report based on required criteria.
