Course Objective

The aim of this course is to gain the knowledge and skills for the monitoring of normal and risky pregnancies, and for the diagnosis and treatment of gynaecological and urological diseases.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explain the etiopathogenesis, discuss differential diagnosis and treatment of female genital system tumors
2   Should be able to perform screening and routine follow-up of women in peproductile age
3   Discuss the approach to a patient with a pelvic mass
4   Explain the etiology, discuss diagnosis and govern the treatment of female infertility
5   Perform follow-up of a normal pregnancy and explain probable complications
6   Be able to guide patients in terms of pregnancy complications
7   Perform follow-up of a normal birth
8   Explain the etiology, discuss diagnosis and govern the treatment of menstrual cycle disorders
9   Diagnose urinary stone disease, plan its treatment and discuss preventive measures
10   Diagnose benign prostatic hypertrophy, govern its treatment
11   Explain the etiopathogenesis, discuss differential diagnosis and treatment, govern the treatment of scrotal masses
12   List the differential diagnoses of hematuria

The student's end of block grade:
25% of the end of task process evaluation grade average,
25% of the NÖKS grade,
0% of the interim achievement assessment,
50% of the theoretical exam grade
is calculated out of 100 (one hundred).

Assessment Criteria

In order for students to take the exam:
To have attended at least 70% of the theoretical activities,
It is necessary to have participated in at least 80% of the block applications and / or laboratory studies.
The application, laboratory and similar in-year studies related to the block must be done within the given periods.
Students who have not fulfilled all of these conditions must repeat that block or internship.

In order for the student's exam results to be valid:
In the end-of-task process evaluation, 60 (sixty) and above grades must be obtained from at least 70% of the number of tasks in the relevant block. Otherwise, the block is repeated.
In order to calculate the end of block grade; The average of the end of task evaluation must be 60 (sixty), and each of the NÖKS and theoretical evaluation grades must be at least 55 (fifty-five).
To be successful in the block, the block success grade must be at least 60 (sixty).
