Course Objective

The aim of this internship is broaden the knowledge, skills and attitude that the students have gained in previous years in the field of pediatrics and have the opportunity to apply these in a clinical setting.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Assess the child with biological, psychological and social aspects as a whole
2   Perform well baby follow-up
3   Take history, perform the physical examination, order necessary diagnostic examinations, interpret the results of diagnostic tests, discuss differential diagnosis and diagnosis
4   Treat frequently encountered pediatric diseases
5   Assess pediatric emergencies and perform relevant emergency care
6   Perform medical practical procedures necessary for the diagnosis and treatment of the patient
7   Develop an appropriate communication with the child and his/her family
