Course Objective

The aim of this course is to reveal the changes that the concepts of art and aesthetics have undergone throughout history and their reflections on social life by considering concepts such as art, crafts, culture, creativity, etc. in the context of aesthetics.

1 What is art Descartes' aesthetics.
2 What are the sources of art Beauty in Kantian aesthetics
3 Functions of art Beauty and art in the philosophy of the Romantic period, Hegel's aesthetics.
4 Disciplines dealing with art. Determining beauty in art and nature
5 Aesthetics and art as a science of beauty Determining the aesthetic subject and object in art
6 Concepts of beauty and art in Plato's philosophy Final exam
7 Art and artist in Aristotle's philosophy
8 Midterm exam
9 Tragedy and its quality in Aristotle's Poetics.
10 Perception of beauty and art in the philosophy of the Enlightenment.
