Course Objective

To be able to comprehend the definition of Relief, which is a sub-type of Sculpture Art, and its effects on Sculpture Art through the examination of selected examples.
To be able to plan the stages of designing and producing students' own relief projects and to supervise the process.
Recognition of basic relief techniques and the ability to use them in their production.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To develop the ability to analyze and shape the relief he/she sees,
2   To be able to comprehend relief techniques by studying
3   To be able to adapt artistic anatomy knowledge to relief works,
4   To be able to apply the relief modeling process at every stage
5   To be able to analyze three-dimensional and two-dimensional study subjects and express them as relief with clay

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Examples made with relief technique are analyzed in form and technique and design principles are examined.
Each student produces four relief works at the end of the semester.
If the student prefers, one of his/her works can be a copy of the reliefs of well-known artists.

Assessment Criteria

Four relief works made at the end of the semester will be evaluated and criteria such as the adequacy of the implementation of techniques and forming will be considered.
Class attendance is the only requirement to participate in the evaluation.
