Course Objective

The purpose of teaching the discipline is to instill in students such knowledge as the taxonomic composition of the plant world, the concept of flora and the history of its study , ecology, plants used by people for various purposes, resources of the world of rare and endangered plants, their protection. The relationship of the subject with other subjects is explained and taught. The main purpose of teaching the subject is to inform students about the flora of Azerbaijan, as well as to inform students about the history of it, the total amount of species spread, as well as the study of their resources, their use, protection of rare species and 3 related to this, ensuring environmental safety and preserving biological diversity.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   From a scientific and practical point of view, attention should be paid to the study of adventive species of the flora of Azerbaijan.
2   Important groups of higher plants are Cils, flower flowers, legumes, umbellate flowers, ink flowers, etc.must recognize representatives of the seasons
3   When performing work, the laboratory assistant is able to take notes, Masters the ability to make drawings and answer questions on each topic in the process of independent work
4   Uses the names of taxonomic groups of species in accordance with the " International Code of botanical nomenclature
5   Student is able to analyze the place and position of the science of flora of Azerbaijan in the system of Biological Sciences, its development
