Course Objective

As a result of the study of entomology and plant protection, the role of insects in the circulation of substances in nature is clarified. The world of insects is the study of living organisms that have no equal among multicellular organisms in terms of the number of species and individuals, variety of forms, features of geographical distribution, forms of communication in living and inanimate nature, participation in the cycle of substances in nature, cross-pollination of flowering plants, and Human daily nutrition.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Studies the morphological and anatomical structure of insects
2   Students makes a comparative analysis of the physiology and ecology of insects
3   According to the level of knowledge of students; students is able to use modern technologies, certain techniques and methods when studying the ontogenetic properties of insects.
4   When studying plant pests and diseases, students analyzes the structure of those organisms.
5   Students masters the skill of classifying insects
6   When performing work, the laboratory assistant is able to take notes, Masters the ability to make drawings and answer questions on each topic in the process of independent work
7   Uses the names of taxonomic groups of species of pests in accordance with the "International nomenclature
8   Students is able to analyze the place and position of the science of entomology and plant protection in the system of Biological Sciences, its development.
