Course Objective

To explain to students the basis of the membrane principle, to form knowledge about the structure and functions of the main parts of the cell, to glorify the structural features of membrane components. To create a general idea about chemicals in the structure of cell membranes, to explain the basis of the principle of membrane structure, to form knowledge about the structure and functions of lipids, proteins, carbohydrates. To create an idea about the transfer of substances and information in the membranes of the eukaryotic cell, to reveal the basis of the principle of membrane transport, to form knowledge about the transmembrane transmission of small and large molecules, to explain intercellular connections and communications.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Methodology for the study of natural and artificial biological membranes and their use in practice
2   Study the biology of biological membranes and their role in the functioning and structure of the cell
3   New achievements in the study of biological membranes
4   To use the methods of theoretical and experimental research in the study of plasmatic membranes and membranes of intracellular organelles.
