Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 Week 1- 2: Project Concept and Identification of Objectives 1. Freedom for students to define the basic concept and objectives for the project. 2. Group discussions and sharing of ideas. 3. Setting individual goals for the students.
2 Week 3- 4: Material and Technique Selection 1. Selecting appropriate materials and techniques for the project. 2. Giving information to students about different painting materials and techniques. 3. Students' selection of materials and techniques for the project.
3 Week 5- 8: Development and Progression of the Project 1. The process of initiating and developing students' projects. 2. Guidance and feedback to students. 3. Regular evaluation of progress.
4 Week 9- 10: Art Criticism and Group Discussions 1. Students review and evaluate each other's projects. 2. Group discussions and critique sessions. 3. Development of art criticism skills.
5 Week 11- 12: Exhibition Preparation and Presentation 1. Preparing students' projects for an exhibition 2. Exhibition organization and promotion strategies 3. An open discussion on the projects with other students and the course instructor.
6 Week 13: Project Presentation and Evaluation 1. Students present their projects to the class. 2. Collective evaluation and feedback to students. 3. An overall evaluation of the project process.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

To pave the way for a sustainable dialog with the student through face-to-face, mutual interviews about their works and to determine the references to contemporary / contemporary art by making text readings, film / video viewing suggestions in parallel with the works produced.

Assessment Criteria

Mastery of the technique used in the works, the ability to transform the material. Consistency and richness of imagination in the form and meaning relations of the work produced. Presentation of the works for evaluation and exhibition forms.
