Course Objective

Encouraging the students to question the new functions within the interdisiplinary structure of contemporary art. Emphasizing the different strategies between the institutionalisation of art and individual production. Informing of the students about these systems that they can employ upon their graduation.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1 To gain the ability to use his/her knowlege on the interdiciplinary nature of the contempotrary art production
2   2 To gain the ability to use his/her knowlege on public art.
3   3 To acquire necessary knowlege and practical abilities to realise comtempory art practices as such; installation and fictional narration
4   4 To gain the necessary academic knowlege and the applied ability to be able to produce video art and to comment on them.
5   5 To gain the necessary academic knowlege and the applied ability to be able to use interactive medias.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The program will be composed of the curriculum in relationship with the students potential, creativity and their interests with a rich audio-visual material. Applied workshops will be held in order to enhance the students vision and their collective practice on the course issues.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

1. Students will make homeworks/presentations in order to evaluate their knowlege and ability on contemporary art, interdiciplinary art, installation and fictional Works.
2-Project applications will be realised by the students in order to evaluate the knowlege and ability on video art besides public art. Projects by the students will be examined via their Project proposal dossiers.
3- The final notes/points will be determined by a written exam on the students ability to render the academic knowlege as well as their gained practices.
