Course Objective

This course aims to help the student understand of basic comcepts involved in the creation and perception of artworks with their philosophical, historical, social and cultural background.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   This course discusses the basic concepts related to the process of creation and perception of art;
2   Emphasizes the historical, cultural, social and aesthetic contexts of art;
3   Distinguishes and relates the theoretical and practical dimensions of art
4   Examines the philosophical basis of concepts related to art.
5   Deals with the concept of art itself from an etymological point of view.
