Course Objective

The aim of this course is to plan the care of the patient and his family in the palliative and end-of-life period, to include the needs of advanced life in the care of the patient and his family in the end-of-life period, and to provide counseling to the patient and his family specific to this period.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Recognizing the palliative and end-of-life care needs of oncology patients and their families
2   To be able to care for the patient and his family in the palliative and end-of-life period
3   To be able to prepare the patient and his family for the approaching death
4   To provide counseling to the patient and his family.
