Course Objective

The aim of this course is to examine the formation mechanism of cancers, its etiology, the frequency of cancer in our country and in the world, cancer prevention and early diagnosis methods, the role of the nurse in planning advanced care in cancer, treatment methods, physical symptoms related to treatment, the most common types of cancer, cancer patients and individuals with cancer. knowing the problems experienced by the family and planning nursing interventions.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to analyze evidence-based information about new approaches in cancer (epigenetics, immunology, etc.)
2   Recognizing the social, cultural and multidisciplinary dimensions of cancer care
3   To be able to integrate into patient care by using Algorithms in Symptom Management in Cancer
4   Stigma etc. in cancer. be able to analyze concepts
