Course Objective

This course aims to examine the new types of inequality and discrimination caused by digitalization and the interaction of existing types of inequality and discrimination with digitalization.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To identify the concept of digital economy.
2   To recognise theoretical basis and operation principles of digital economy.
3   To recognise online platforms, innovative features of industry 4.0 model and their impact on employment.
4   To analyse digital inequality and discrimination in the production and consumption of goods and services.
5   To evaluate the social polarization effect of digitalization.

1. Students are obligated to participate 70% of the lectures.
2. All kinds of plagiarism and attempt of plagiarism shall be concluded by disciplinary punishment.
3. Students supposed to read the materials before lecture and participate the classroom discussions.
4. Students are expected to make presentations about the subjects given by the lecturer and on the date determined.
5. The research papers that are not delivered on the day of the final exam will not be accepted.
