Course Objective

In this course, it is aimed to improve the students, comprehensions regarding new and changing media and media orientent concepts, to improve their knowledge of the opportunities of using the new media in field of education, and to improve their ability of constructing examples related to new media to use them in teaching.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Comprehend the concepts of media and new media and its (new media s) interaction areas.
2   Comprehend the ways of how to utilize the products of new media in field of education
3   Examine and analyze about how to utilize the media communication tools and the products of new media in field of education
4   Developing teaching strategies by using the interrelationship between field of education and media and applying/presenting these teaching strategies
5   Evaluating teaching strategies that are developed using the interrelationship between field of education and media

5 Examine virtual diaries and blogs related to field of education
6 Examine the applications related to teaching in Android and IOS systems and their usage area.
7 Reflection of the digital games to education and educational games
8 General practise
9 Cloud Systems and developing a web-page
10 Examine the web-pages and online course envıronment related to field of education
11 General overview of Learning Management Systems
12 General overview of Web-based Learning Tools
13 Practices on sports and media
14 Presenting and assesing the assignments
