Course Objective

Learning filmic styles theoretically and working on practical assignments on different filmic styles. Learning the importance of mise en scene in film with all of its components and using them in practice.

1   In the context of film style and Mise en scène watching the examples of selected movies and discussing about them,
2   Realize the importance and role of a film director in the creation of Film style,
3   Methods and techniques of the creation of different film styles
4   Grasp of the content and aesthetic dimension of the Film style and mise en scène,
5   Methods and techniques of Mise en scène,
6   Use creativity and make practical work in context of Film style and Mise en scène;

8 Modernist Narrative Film: Breathless (Jean-Luc Godard, 1960)
9 Continuation of the topic with scenes from other films and short films- announcement of the midterm projects
