Course Objective

It is aimed that students do research and raise awareness about digital culture, popular culture and mass culture. Within the scope of the course, various messages, visual materials and digital content are discussed from a critical point of view.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1- It is expected to have a critical perspective on digital culture and its contents.
2   2- It is expected that the phenomena produced in today's media (advertisements, posters, billboards, films, etc.) have sufficient knowledge about the production-consumption relations, social, cultural, economic and political effects.
3   3- It is expected that they will be able to evaluate popular concepts such as the digital world and the metaverse universe.
