Course Objective |
The aim of the course is to examine various concepts in Sociology of Work and Occupations, a sub-branch of sociology, and to make sociological analyzes of the concept of work, which constitutes the scope of the course. Therefore, the first question would be, What is work International definition problems regarding the concept of work, the historical rhetoric of work, and radical approaches to work as well as Modern Western orientations will be discussed. Secondly, an overview of the work in historical perspective will be developed within the scope of the course. Marx, Weber and Durkheim's thoughts on work will be discussed within the Classical Approaches. Another aim of this course is to gain knowledge about the labor market. The course also includes examination of thoughts and approaches regarding professions and today's professions. Thirdly, transformations in working life and today's discussions about working life will be included in the course. |
