Course Objective

The aim of this course is to enable students to complete a translation project that they have designed individually under the supervision of their instructor. In this course, which is a continuation of the 7th semester Translation Project Design course, students complete an oral or written research or translation project on the topics of their choice and submit it at the end of the semester.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Utilize current technologies such as online resources, terminology banks, spell and grammar checks, database in in all processes of their projects.
2   Collect data on a topic in the field of interpreting/interpreting within the framework of their chosen project.
3   Classify and evaluate the data collected for their projects by using scientific methods.
4   Improve decision-making skills within the scope of their projects.
5   Assess the responsibility and the role of himself/herself as a translator.

Assessment Criteria

The course includes several stages of one project. In the process, each student has the responsibility of submitting different parts of the project as HOMEWORKS/PRESENTATIONS. Finally submission of the whole project in the book form will be evaluated as PROJECT.
