Course Objective

In this course, students learn the essence of animation based on the basic principles of animation. Students are provided with an understanding of animation concepts and techniques to build a solid foundation.

1   The student understands and applies the basic principles of animation.
2   The student plans the movement and timing relationship.
3   Student plans short animations according to traditional animation techniques.
4   Student can evaluate animation reference images.
5   Being open to innovations in the field and following them.
6   Has material knowledge.

1 Course introduction and mutual expectations.
2 Exemination of different workflows within the traditiona animation technique.
3 Approaches to pose to pose animation.
4 Designing movement and time within the traditiona animation technique.
5 Designing characters suitable for traditional animation..
6 Anticipation animation principle exercise.
7 Animation practice.
8 Overlap animation principle exercise.
9 Animation practice.
10 Approaches to animation reference analysis.
11 Animation planning for the final project.
12 Drawing of key poses for the final project.
13 Production of inbetween frames for the final project.
14 Clean up process for the final project.
