Course Objective |
The course aims to enable students to learn the place of silhouette animation films in the history of animation, to experience the technique itself from a contemporary perspective by observing its qualities such as timing, movement, editing and sound, and to produce a short performance/animation with this technique. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
Transferring topics and concepts through presentation, sharing examples with printed visual publications, video and theater recordings. Information about the use and effects of silhouette animation and cut-out techniques in animation cinema. Design and completion of the application project for the perception of this information by the student. |

Further Notes About Assessment Methods |
In the course evaluation phase, first of all, it is important to pay attention to class participation, coming to class by making preparations, submitting and presenting the assigned homework on time, and whether sufficient resource research has been done in homework preparation. Whether scientific conditions are observed in the presentation, and grading will be made on these points. The knowledge gained by the student in the course will be measured by mid-term and final exams. The score for student participation will be based on (1) class attendance, (2) the quality of the student's answers to questions posed by the lecturer during the lecture and homework assignments, and (3) the student's contribution to creating a positive learning environment. Course Policies and Rules/ Derse Ilişkin Politika ve Kurallar 1. Attendance to 80% of the course is compulsory. 2. Any attempt at plagiarism will result in the assignment being invalidated 3. Absence from class will not be considered as a valid excuse for late submission of homework and projects. |
