Course Objective

Evaluation, imaging and treatment planning of caries, periodontal disease, dental crowding, missing teeth and complaints caused by these in the oral cavity. Determination of systemic diseases and evaluation of oral complications, developmental anomalies of the oral region, odontogenic cysts, non-odontogenic cysts, odontogenic tumors, non-odontogenic tumors, vesiculobullous diseases, ulcerative lesions, white lesions, red lesions, pigmented lesions, verrucal-papillary lesions, connective tissue lesions, salivary gland diseases, lymphoid lesions, teaching the clinical evaluation of malignant lesions of the jaws.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knows panoramic, cephalometric, hand-wrist radiographic techniques and applies the panoramic technique
2   Knows and diagnoses pathologies localized in the jaw bones.
3   Knows and diagnoses oral soft tissue pathologies.
4   Knows and diagnoses paranasal sinus pathologies and soft tissue calcifications.
5   Describes advanced imaging techniques.
