Course Objective

To teach the cracked tooth syndrome, definition and treatment of tooth discoloration, diagnosis and treatment of halitosis, definition of tunnel restorations and restoration types, fiber reinforced composite resin types, definition and preparation of composite laminate restorations, color selection in composites, definition of geriatric dentistry, biocompatibility, dental erosion definition, atraumatic restorative treatment, and the definition and content of posterior composite resins.

1. The student should be able to describe tooth discoloration and bleaching techniques.
2. The student should be able to describe tunnel restorations.
3. The student should be able to describe composite laminate restorations.
4. The student should be able to describe the biocompatibility of restorative materials.
5. The student should be able to describe fiber reinforced composites.
